First and foremost, thank you for your interest in my portfolio! My name’s Liza Trettel. I’m a senior Graphic Design major, as well as a Journalism/Mass Communications minor and a Spanish minor, at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. I’m from the humble town of Kearney, NE, where my church is in the middle of a cornfield and my closest neighbors are cows. After high school years spent in gymnasiums and all courts, you might think it came as a surprise to my loved ones when I declared that artistic creativity would be my path. Actually, I don’t think it surprised anyone!

Since the day I could hold a marker, it was hard to find me not creating something. In my first couple years of school, it also became evident that I loved math, tasks, and to-do lists. Music is what has helped me foster this use of both sides of the brain. I became an aspiring pianist at age four and have continued to fall in love with the harmony between order and creativity. Graphic design also knits together my love for these two things. I’m a Type A artist, and I’m grateful to be sharing my work with you!
